Inspiration

Inspiration comes from way down deep.   How does it get their?  Good question.  Ideas come supposedly from experiences of life.  But some come from places not even experienced.  When I've sometimes had composer's block, and leave my work then at bedtime I find myself with a known song dancing in my head, as I fall asleep I say a little prayer for it's composer. I've found the next day, where I was blocked, suddenly music flowed.  We're told inspiration is linked to the worlds beyond, so I share this concept in this simple song.

What might be the source of our inspiration,
                                                       A

Concepts that appear while in profound contemplation.
          D                          E                                   A

Our mind reaches our spirit while in deep reflection.

Suddenly it seems to make some sort of a connection.

In silent contemplation we sit and meditate.

Exploring our thoughts while in that meditative state.

Down in our heart resides our soul where it rests, and there

evaluating alternatives to see which one's the best.

The soul is not restricted, it’s free of time and space.

It can journey to that Realm out there that's filled with God's Grace,

where it’ll reside after its ascension, but it’s

now making contact with sources in that dimension.

If, and when the soul connects with that beyond,

inspiration flourishes now nourished to respond,

Revealing music, art and new creations

Not to mention this is the source of the advancement of our civilization.
